Went for a ride last Sunday-sunny,55F- great time, after being away at sea last 5 weeks,(I'm a marine engineer). Three tries it started fine. Tech. question-the split crankcase is oozing black permatex( I assume). Isn't there a fiber gasket? Has to be I think. Not leaking oil. Head gasket ok. 2215 km mileage. Coming from a very anti-motorcycle family my sign off is my motto when I ride- get home safe.
